Jo Dufton - Occupational Therapist

I have worked as an occupational therapist since graduating in 1990 from Exeter school of occupational therapy and I have extensive experience from working in the NHS and social services.

As an occupational therapist my role is to help people overcome the effects of disability caused by injury, ageing, physical or psychological illness. My aim is to find out why a person cannot do what they would like or need to do and assist them in finding solutions to maximise their independence and function.

My role covers a whole range of needs and may include anything from washing to wheelchairs, cooking to carers, gardens to gadgets, dressing to dog walking, technology to toileting, beds to bathing or social support to seating. Whatever your needs are, my aim is to make your life easier. I am a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and the Health and Care Professions Council.
